UK largest dental plan firm NDP bought for £30m in cash
Capita has bought National Dental Plan (NDP) for £30m cash on a cash-free, debt-free basis.
NDP runs some of the biggest dental insurance schemes; designing, distributing, arranging underwriting for and administering dental insurance policies to more than 300 clients, representing 120,000 underlying insured members. Customers include Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC and BT.
NDP made a consolidated operating profit for its financial year to 31 March 2010 of £4.1m on turnover of £13.4m.

Paul Pindar, chief executive of Capita, said: "The acquisition adds further capabilities to Capita's specialist insurance services business, extending its range of tailored insurance services, including employee benefits schemes, to both private and public sectors. "
NDP has 20 staff, all based in London.
