Canopius has promoted Derek Hansen to divisional underwriter, global property, reporting to Mike Duffy, joint active underwriter, Syndicate 4444.
Hansen joined Canopius in 2009 as direct & facultative underwriter, global property.
Canopius has also added Jamie Martin as direct & facultative underwriter and Emma Sturgeon as technical assistant, underwriting to the global property team.
Duffy said: “Derek has proved to be a great asset to our global property team, blending a first-hand understanding of brokers’ and clients’ needs with technical underwriting skills. I am confident that under Derek’s leadership, this division will continue to develop its market-leading capabilities, whilst maintaining its strong track record of profitable underwriting."
