Primary Insurance has launched two new policies to help sunseekers cope with sudden flight cancellations and delays.

Its Leisure and Frequent Traveller policies cover cancellation up to £3,000 and scheduled airline failure also up to £3,000.

Travel delay is covered for £20 for the first 12-hour period and £20 for each additional 12-hour period up to £300. In addition, abandonment is covered up to £3,000.

Primary's marketing manager, Simon Redgrove, said: “In the event of the customer experiencing delays, a way to reduce stress is to make sure that, at point of sale, they know what they are, and what they are not, covered for.”
