Bradford & Bingley is to enter the motor insurance market with a broked product run by Budget's affinity arm Junction. The banking group will offer motor cover online, through call centres and via its branch network.

Junction managing director Phil Zeidler said: “This decision is a very clear endorsement of not only the relationship we have developed with Bradford & Bingley, but also the attractiveness of a brokered solution for affinity partners.

“Clearly affinity partners are looking to demonstrate to their customers the benefits that access to a panel of insurers brings.”
