Mark Ellis to join from Rural Insurance
The managing director of Towergate-owned Broker Network Underwriting has resigned after three years, Insurance Times has learned.
Paul Bennett will leave on 30 June to “pursue other opportunities”, the group confirmed.
“Paul has been an instrumental managing director for Broker Network Underwriting over the past three years and we wish him all the best for the future,” a spokeswoman said.
At Broker Network, Bennett led a team that developed products for its network members, underwritten by Towergate’s MGA.
Mike Ellis, who is currently chief operating officer at UK General-owned Rural Insurance, has been hired to replace him.
At Rural Insurance he leads the operations of the underwriting and service delivery teams.
The spokeswoman added: “Mike Ellis will lead the team and support Gary Duggan and the management team in delivering the new business strategy. Mike has a wealth of industry experience.”
Last year Broker Network streamlined its membership options and revealed plans to make its MGA more accessible to its 600 members.
