Broker Network looks to add more acquisitions with the appointment of a new commercial director
Broker Network has made a statement of intent with the appointment of Tony Monnington (pictured) as its new commercial director.
Monnington will work in the part of the company focussed on acquisitions, Broker Network Partners, and will report to chief commercial officer, Des O’Connor.
He joins from Swinton, where he was head of commercial business. He has also held senior roles at Gallagher and Aon.
Recently, Broker Network completed its fourth major regional acquisition when it bought East Anglia-based Saffron.
Commenting on the new appointment, O’Connor said: “Tony will be a real asset to the Network and brings with him a wealth of insurance broking experience, having worked in senior commercial roles at Gallagher, Oval and Swinton. His knowledge of the market will be invaluable as we further strengthen our Partner strategy over the coming months and years.”
Tony Monnington added: “I particularly wanted to work for a company with a vast amount of growth opportunities on the horizon; which Broker Network does. The role will allow me to use my strategic approach to guide future deals across the UK broking landscape.”
In January, Nevada Holdings completed its takeover of the Network by buying the remaining 19.9% of shares from Ardonagh.
