Broker Network partner in Scottish satellite acquisition

A Broker Network partner acquired last year has today announced its first satellite acquisition.

Boyd & Company have acquired Scottish broker Insureness, a general broking firm made up of nine staff managing £3.7m GWP.

Based in Musselburgh, close to Edinburgh, the company have been established since 2009, and as well as their ties with the local community, also support businesses in Fife, the Borders and the Lothians.

Commenting on the acquisition, Eric Richardson, Boyd’s Managing Director said: “We have taken a thoughtful and considered approach to making our first purchase.

”We wanted to work with a brokerage that fits well with our culture and customer focus and we firmly believe that this will not only strengthen our footprint in Scotland but also enhance our service to customers.

Boyd were acquired by Broker Network in May 2017.
