Insurer will join Amlin and Aon in new skyscraper
Brit’s underwriters looks set to be rubbing shoulders soon with Aon’s brokers when they move into the new Cheesgrater skyscraper.
According to a report in yesterday’s ‘Evening Standard, Brit Insurance is under offer with developer British Land to take around 50,000 square feet on floors 15 to 17 of the 224m tall Leadenhall Building.
Aon and insurer Amlin are among the tenants to have already taken space in the 52-storey building, which is located opposite the Lloyd’s building.
The Lord Rogers-designed Cheesegrater hit the headlines last year when two bolts, which formed part of its structure, fell off the building. The developer British Land is due to publish a report on an investigation into the accident this week.
Brit will be moving from nearby Bishopsgate, where its London head office is currently located.
