Move is latest in a round of changes as Lloyd’s insurer restructures
Brit chief operations officer Malcolm Beane has left the company, Insurance Times understands.
A Companies House filing dated 31 May states that Beane’s directorship of Brit has been terminated.
Beane’s name was removed from the list of senior management on Brit’s website today.
Brit declined to comment.
Beane’s departure is the latest in a string of changes initiated by new chief executive Mark Cloutier. The biggest move has been the sale of the renewal rights to Brit’s UK regional business to QBE. As a result, Brit UK chief Ray Cox has joined QBE.
In addition, Brit lost finance chief Scott Egan to broking group Towergate at the beginning of this year.
Beane joined Brit as chief operations officer in September 2009. The move to Brit followed an eight-year stint at XL, where he was most recently chief processing officer of XL Insurance.
