Quotes for motor fleet follow earlier launch of D&O
Brit Insurance has launched a second product on the Imarket e-trading portal.
Quotes for directors' and officers' (D&O) became available at the end of April, with motor fleet quote capability launched last week.
“We promised brokers that there would be at least three Brit Insurance products live on Imarket by the end of the year and we’ve delivered on that promise with two lines well ahead of time.” said Simon Cooter, head of UK distribution at Brit Insurance, and former member of the Polaris board.
“Brit Insurance is investing heavily in electronically traded solutions for the SME sector and we really do mean business with Imarket.”
Martin McLachlan, managing director of Polaris UK, added: “Imarket is primarily a way of accessing insurers' services, such as quotations, accounts information and schemes.
"Without doubt, the most popular use is for quotes and new business, so Brit Insurance's rapid implementation of two new products will be popular with brokers.
"As the portfolio of products on Imarket grows, so does its usefulness to brokers who are seeking streamlined access to a broad marketplace. With Imarket they can obtain this with a single user ID and password."
Brokers can now access comparative D&O quotes from Ace, Royal & SunAlliance and Brit by filling in a single risk data form on www.imarket.co.uk.
