Exclusive scheme will provide widest cover available to sector
Bollington Insurance Brokers has been appointed as the new preferred insurance provider for the Age England Association.
The Age England Association is a membership body for all the organisations working in partnership with Age UK, itself formed following a merger between Age Concern England and Help the Aged.
The Association represents a membership of more than 300 independent charities with a combined turnover of around £170m.
Following the merger, the Association decided to review its preferred insurance provider and put the contract out to tender, which was subsequently awarded to Bollington.
Bollington, which is part of Groupama, has a dedicated care and charity team, 10 years experience in the care, charity and not for profit sectors, strong relationships with insurers to create an exclusive scheme for members and a nationwide network of experienced charity account managers.
The exclusive scheme underwritten by a panel of insurers has the widest cover available to the sector, quick quotation turnaround and access to a bespoke online health and safety service.
Bollington chairman Paul Moors said: “Our recent tender win to be the preferred insurance provider to the Age England Association gives me tremendous satisfaction that our hard work and dedication to the care and charity sector has been recognised.
“We offer insurances to charity and not for profit sectors through our specialist care division so this is a great fit for our organisation. We are looking forward to working together.”
Age England Association chair John Briers said: “We are delighted about our recent appointment of Bollington Insurance Brokers as our preferred insurance provider.
“This followed a robust tendering process where we considered several different providers and we believe that the Bollington offering could provide a significant benefit for Age England Association members.
“Because they already insure a number of our members and have a strong understanding of the sector, Bollington were the natural choice.”
