East Midlands brokers Bland Bankart has joined a European network of independent brokers, Eubronet, to extend the firm's coverage into mainland Europe.
The move represents a major business growth opportunity for the firm which is Eubronet's sole UK representative.
"Many of our clients are expanding into mainland Europe and they need local representation in the countries where they trade to enable them to resolve any insurance issues," said Bland Bankart chairman Philip Bland.
"Companies in mainland Europe which are setting up in the UK also require local representation which we will be able to provide," he added.
