Casualty, property and financial risks heads named
Besso has promoted three new heads of its casualty, property and professional and financial risks divisions.
Rob Dowman, Stuart Short and Russ Nichols have been promoted to managing director of each of their respective divisions, effective from 1 March 2008.
Short will join Jason Rose as Joint Managing Director of the professional and financial Risks division, which specialises in directors' and officers' liability. It recently launched a series of e-commerce related products.
Colin Bird, executive chairman of Besso, said: “Besso has been growing rapidly over the past year and Rob, Stuart and Russ have all risen to the challenge. Their promotions reflect the excellent skill level we have within Besso and I personally applaud them and the entire Besso team for their efforts.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
