Chairman takes over at loss adjuster as chief executive quits after 11 years

Loss adjuster Axis has announced that its chief executive, Peter Shortland, has resigned. Chairman David Jamison has taken on the role.

Shortland said: "After 11 years with Axis originally as a regional director and latterly as chief executive, I have decided to look for a new challenge. Axis is a superb organisation and I have many friends there, and wish them well."

Jamison added: "Peter has been with Axis since its inception and is a valued friend. We would like to recognise the contribution he has made in the development and growth of the company and wish him well for the future.”

Currently Axis is maintaining close focus on the events in the Caribbean & Mexico where several teams are deployed on catastrophe duty.
