AXA has repatriated a small number of jobs that it had outsourced to its centre in Bangalore, India. The relocated jobs are to be moved back to Leicester.
According to a report, the PPP healthcare division jobs are to be moved back to the UK after it found that it was taking too long for personnel in India to process work for its small business customers.
Nine jobs from AXA's Bangalore centre will be relocated to Leicester. In addition, nine jobs from AXA's Tunbridge Wells centre will be moved to Leicester, said the report.
The company set up its Bangalore centre six years ago, where it currently employs 800 staff. According to a report, it plans to open another centre in Pune, creating a further 800 positions, before the end of the year.
