Martin Kilshaw replaces Ryan Birbeck in broker relationship role
AXA Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary has appointed Martin Kilshaw as sales manager in its London branch.
Kilshaw will manage the branch’s broker relationships.
He replaces Ryan Birbeck, who took over as manager of AXA’s Scottish branch in January.
Kilshaw has worked at AXA for 11 years in a range of claims and broker relationship management roles, most recently as strategic relationships manager.
His replacement as strategic relationships manager will be announced shortly, AXA said.
London branch manager Martyn Grime said: “I have known Martin for some time and I am very pleased that he has agreed to take on this vital role in the branch.
“The London branch is our largest and most diverse and the role comes with significant responsibilities. I am confident that Martin brings the requisite experience and expertise to successfully develop our broker relationships and grow our market share.
“It is particularly pleasing that we have been able to find the right skill-set internally, particularly as the vacancy arose from a previous internal appointment.”
Kilshaw added: “This is a great opportunity for me. Although London is a very successful branch, there is still plenty of opportunity to grow our business here and my background in managing broker relationships will certainly help in achieving that.”
