Aviva has signed an outsourcing deal with Indian software company Wipro Technologies, a report revealed.
The company said it had entered into a wide-ranging software outsourcing agreement with the insurance company.
Wipro vice president for insurance solutions Soumitra Ghosh said: "Aviva will be one of our most strategic clients not just for the insurance division but for Wipro overall."
He said the deal would include applications development, maintenance, package implementation and infrastructure management.
The company had already opened an offshore development centre for Aviva, concluded the report.
