Aviva has replaced Zurich as the insurer on nursery broker dot2dot’s book of business.

Dot2dot’s partnership with Zurich had lasted for eight years.

The broker said that Aviva was a good fit because the insurer shared its passion for working with the Early Years sector.

Dot2dot director Jackie Hyde said discussions have already started with Aviva over providing additional products and services for the broker’s customers, as well as enhancing existing insurance policies.

From June 1 new dot2dot customers are now insured with Aviva, while renewals will transfer from Zurich to Aviva as of September 1 2015.

Hyde said: “Aviva has industry-leading technology that will help us identify ongoing claims risks and ultimately find solutions, and, we hope, lower our premiums in the long term. In short, our customers are going to really benefit from this new partnership.”

Aviva regional head of trading Tracey Threlfall added: “Clearly this was always going to be a major decision for Jackie and throughout the process she was always looking to make sure she was doing her absolute best for her customers.

“During our many meetings, what has come across to Aviva is the knowledge, insight and expertise that Jackie and her team bring to this sector and this was a key factor in us wanting to work with them.”
