Aviva has announced that Patrick Snowball, its group executive director for general insurance, is to become group executive director for Aviva UK.
Aviva said Snowball will be responsible for the group's UK businesses – Norwich Union Life, Norwich Union Insurance and RAC – with the exception of Morley Fund Management.
He will also become executive chairman of Norwich Union Life.
Richard Harvey, Aviva group chief executive, said: “These changes will help us take the group forward to the next stage of its development.
"In the UK, the integration of RAC has progressed as planned. We now have a stable of very strong brands and, under Patrick's direction, there are further benefits to be realised from these businesses working together to improve our customer offering and our market effectiveness."
