Auto Direct has launched an online commercial vehicle 'quote and buy' service.
The service enables commercial vehicle owners to obtain quotes and buy cover via the internet.
Customers enter their details and are presented with a selection of the most competitive quotes.
They can then enter their credit card details or arrange to pay the premium in instalments.
Outright, the owner of Auto Direct, said commercial vehicle cover was an attractive sector due to the lower emphasis on price, as well good conversion rates.
"It's marginally less price sensitive and the conversion rates are higher," Outright managing director Andrew Lee said.
Auto Direct has also begun offering Car Doctor, a new vehicle maintenance product, to its customers.
Using one of Shell National Service Network's 400 service centres, Car Doctor arranges the MOT, service or repair work on behalf of the customer.
Under the scheme, parts and labour are guaranteed for one year, and discounted quotes are negotiated by Car Doctor advisers on behalf of the customer.
