Moves within cargo, energy and Asia teams
Ascot Underwriting has made new appointments to its renewable energy, cargo and Asia teams.
Chief underwriter and principal officer of Ascot Asia, Alex Lumby, will take up the post of chief executive of Renewco, Ascot’s renewable energy division, which was launched in July last year.
Lumby, who will continue as member of the Asia board, will be replaced by Lee Vanderson, current leader of Ascot’s global cargo business.
David Roe will join Ascot Underwriting - Syndicate 1414 - as senior underwriter for cargo. He joins from Marsh, where he held responsibility for the global cargo product line.
Lumby said: “I am pleased by the success we have had in Asia to date and am very confident that Lee will maintain this progress, and look forward to continuing to assist him in the future.”
Vanderson added: “I am excited about this opportunity to further establish our business in Asia and I am looking forward to working even more closely with the extensive base of trading partners I have built in the region.”
