Ardonagh announces second appointment in two days as Iain Laws joins the Group
The Ardonagh Group has appointed Iain Laws as its new chief executive of healthcare.
Iain will join up with the group in the new year, and will be tasked with bringing together Towergate Health and Chase Templeton.
He has previously spent the last 5 years at Jelf where he was managing director of healthcare and group risk.
Current chief executive of Chase Templeton Warren Dickson will leave the business, but will work with Iain for a few months into 2018 before doing so.
Newly-appointed deputy chief executive of Ardonagh Janice Deakin said: “When we started to think about bringing together Chase Templeton and Towergate Health, we envisaged the creation of the largest independent health broker in the UK. The combined businesses working in partnership with our advisory branch network have significant cross sell opportunities, leveraging impressive track records and significant scale across the Group.
“In our earliest conversations, Warren was very honest with me about his plans to move onto a new challenge once he had embedded the business and overseen the initial integration of his team.”
Dickson added: “I always believed that the right home for Chase Templeton would be alongside a large general insurance broker given the obvious access to clients and relationships. Over the coming months, I will work with Iain to ensure we are best positioned to deliver on a growth strategy of which I am hugely supportive.”
And finally, Laws said: “Warren’s support will be invaluable to me as I navigate the Group in those early days and I am extremely grateful for his guidance.”
His appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
