Legal expenses insurer Arag has signed a deal to provide Arista Insurance with legal expenses products.
Arista chief executive Charles Earle said the cover will be provided to all Arista package policyholders, and will be optionally available on commercial combined policies.
Earle said: "Arag is recognised as a world leader in legal insurance and the company mirrors much of what Arista is trying to achieve in terms of its focus on high customer service and an adaptable approach to business partners."
Tony Buss, managing director of Arag, said there was "a good chance" the legal expenses company would be supporting and working with other start-ups in the coming months.
In the medium to long term Arista will have the capacity to write in excess of £250m worth of business.
The insurer is set to start writing business later this month with backing from Lloyd's underwriters Canopius and Equity Insurance Group.
South Essex Insurance Brokers has secured a deal with legal expenses insurer Arc.
The deal will see Arc provide optional legal expense insurance on commercial combined cover to users of the broker's Risk Placer platform.
The online system allows users to purchase and bind cover in one transaction.
This comes as Arc director Richard Finan revealed intentions to grow its commercial book from a quarter of a million pounds to a net premium of £4m by the end of 2007.
