Aquilo has acquired the motor inspection business of the Rubicon Corporation for an undisclosed sum. The business will be renamed Aquilo Engineering Services and will form part of Aquilo Business Solutions.
Rubicon's management of the inspection business, as well as its field-based team of inspectors will be transferred to Aquilo by the end of February.
Aquilo said it intended to grow the business as an integral part of its motor claims management activity, bringing in-house a large number of the inspections which it currently outsources.
As part of the deal, Aquilo would become a strategic supplier of inspection services to Rubicon. Aquilo said both companies would seek further ways in which they could work together.
Richard Perry will join Aquilo and be responsible to managing director Clive Nicholls. It will be run from Aquilo's Colindale offices in London.
