New Manchester United shirt features Aon logo for first time
The logo of global insurance broker Aon was unveiled on the front of the new 2010-11 Manchester United home kit for for the first time today.
The Aon Corporation logo will appear on the front of the shirt for the next four years as part of its sponsorship deal, reported to be worth £80m, which began last month.
“The Manchester United shirt is an iconic image in the world of sport, and we are honored to appear on it,” said Aon president and chief executive Greg Case.
Manchester United chief executvie David Gill said: “We’re delighted to be launching our latest Manchester United shirt and the first to bear the Aon logo.
"We’re incredibly proud of our association with Aon and look forward to achieving great things, both on and off the pitch, through our partnership with them."
However, reports today suggest that Manchester United fans will snub the club’s new shirt in protest against the club's £716.5m debt.
