Ex-Aviva chief executive joins regulation consultant Parker Fitzgerald
Andrew Moss, the former chief executive of Aviva, has been appointed chairman of risk and regulation consultant Parker Fitzgerald.
Moss was chief executive of Aviva for five years, but resigned in 2012 after shareholders voted against the company’s annual remuneration report.
Moss was previously chief financial officer at Lloyd’s and held senior management positions at HSBC.
As chairman of the Parker Fitzgerald group advisory board, Moss will advise senior management about the financial services firm’s strategy, financial performance and risk management.
Moss said: “Having seen first-hand the unprecedented level of regulatory change underway in the financial services industry, it is my firm belief that boards are yet to fully appreciate the long-term impacts of new regulation on their business models.
Scott Vincent, global managing partner at Parker Fitzgerald, said: “His market knowledge and insight across the three core sectors we service – banking, insurance and asset management – make him a hugely valuable addition to the firm.”
