Amlin has acquired retail yacht insurance broker SM Marine Holdings (SMH) for an undisclosed sum.
SMH through its subsidiary St Margarets Insurance has net assets of £1.42m as of 30 September 2003.
Amlin Marine Services chairman Martin Hewett, said: “St Margarets is a highly regarded and established brand in the retail yacht market.
“This acquisition complements Amlin's existing intermediary and yacht broker business, Haven Knox-Johnston, and reinforces Amlin's commitment to the yacht insurance market in the UK.
