SSP says Amazon deal is an important part of its next growth phase
SSP has signed a deal with Amazon Web Services (AWS) that will help fulfil its ambitious customer plans.
Amazon’s first deployment as SSP’s cloud provider will take place over the next couple of months.
SSP believes Amazon will allow it to scale up quickly, and establish new services in a reliable and resilient way.
SSP customer and marketing managing director Adrian Coupland said: “I am delighted that SSP has joined forces with the largest cloud provider on the planet. AWS will help us in dealing with some of the largest, most performance and security-conscious companies in the world.”
Chief operating officer Jim Sadler said: “Many of our software products are already cloud-ready, with the ability to be automatically deployed and to scale up and down their infrastructure consumption in-flight, based upon demand. This makes them ideal to be working in a fully elastic and automated cloud environment, like AWS.
“Going forward, all of our next-generation software will be engineered for the cloud. SSP has been a predominantly Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) software company for many years and the next logical step for us is to evolve into a predominantly cloud-based software company.”
The deal is another boost for SSP. In May the software house penned a deal with Endsleigh.
In May, MGA Pex Insure signed a partnership with SSP to distribute products on two of its platforms.
