AM Best has affirmed the A+ (superior) syndicate rating for Lloyd's Syndicate 1414, managed by Ascot Underwriting. The outlook remains stable.
It said the rating reflected the specific support from American Home Assurance, excellent expected performance and the excellent profile of the composite syndicate.
An offsetting factor in the rating is the syndicate's lack of track record, said the ratings agency.
