Travel specialist says deal will help ‘uninsurable’ travellers
Travel insurance specialist All Clear Insurance Services has agreed a new underwriting partnership with Mapfre Assistance.
All Clear, which offers travel insurance for those with pre-existing medical conditions, said it wants to expand its travel insurance portfolio via the new deal with Mapfre Assistance.
All Clear chairman and co-founder Mike Rutherford said: “This exciting new agreement will help All Clear deliver a wider range of insurance products for those who need them most. There is a great tranche of travellers – those who are elderly or who have pre-existing medical conditions – that are being penalised by the mainstream insurers.
“What this new agreement with Mapfre Assistance does is give us even greater capacity to help a larger number of those who may not travel, or risk travelling without insurance, simply because they believe themselves ‘uninsurable’ or cannot afford the cover.”
Mapfre Assistance head of B2B travel, Leire Jimenez, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have come to this arrangement with the team at All Clear.”
