Marshall joined insurer in 2013 as M&A underwriter
AIG has promoted Angus Marshall (pictured) to UK mergers and acquisitions (M&A) manager.
In his new role Marshall is responsible for driving AIG’s growth and profitability in the M&A insurance market.
He reports to UK head of financial lines John Hopper and global head of mergers and acquisitions Mary Duffy.
Marshall joined AIG in 2013 as M&A underwriter, for managing and underwriting transactions originating in Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India, and Israel.
Before joining AIG Marshall worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in their international tax and mergers and acquisitions practice and Norton Rose Fulbright in private mergers and acquisitions.
Hopper said: “Angus will build on our excellent technical and market leadership which will allow us to continue to deliver stand out products and services to our customers and distribution partners.”
Marshall added: “M&A activity is increasing across a number of sectors at the moment so I expect to be very busy in the coming months. I am very much looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
