Ageas has won a contract with General Motors that will see the insurer providing motor cover to Vauxhall and Chevrolet customers in the UK.
Under the five-year deal, agreed in principle, Ageas will manage all customer sales, service administration and claims service on behalf of General Motors unders its Vauxhall and Chevrolet brands. Ageas said the partnership will create growth at its Stoke-on-Trent office.
“This new relationship further enhances our multi-channel distribution strategy, reinforcing our strength in the private car insurance market," said Ageas UK chief executive Barry Smith in a statement. "Our ethos of high customer service at low cost went a long way to winning this deal."
The deal is subject to regulatory and governance approvals.
