Allen will focus on price control, underwriting and business development
Ageas has announced the appointment of Craig Allen as head of household underwriting.
Allen will be responsible for managing the performance and development of the home account through the control of pricing, underwriting and business development activity.
He will report to Ageas’s underwriting director, Adam Clarke.
Allen joins the insurer from Groupama where he was head of household, responsible for underwriting and distribution of its home book, including developing relationships with broker partners. Bringing with him more than 24 years experience in the industry, Allen is a Chartered Insurer. He has previously held roles at Aviva and More Than and has a wealth of experience of developing products to drive profitable growth.
Ageas underwriting director Adam Clarke said: “The addition of Craig to our already strong management team, coupled with his broad knowledge and experience, will be invaluable to ensuring we continue to compete effectively within the intermediary market and deliver innovative products that meet our customer’s needs. Craig’s background will also be significant in terms of further developing our multi-distribution product and pricing strategy.”
Allen said: “I’m very excited to be joining the team at Ageas and building on its already strong position in the Personal lines market. Ageas’s approach to developing quality products that meet real customer needs has proven to be very successful and I look forward to further building on this success and shaping the Ageas household proposition moving forward.”
Former Ageas head of household underwriting, Stephen Linklater, has now become head of motor underwriting.
