Five-year extension to ground naming partnership deal with Hampshire Cricket
Ageas has agreed a five-year extension to its ground naming partnership deal with Hampshire Cricket.
The agreement began in 2012 and will now run to 2022, guaranteeing a partnership with The Ageas Bowl of at least 11 years.
The Ageas Bowl is the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club, which have played there since 2001.
In addition, Ageas has also extended its brand exposure including the main logo position on Hampshire’s two one-day shirts and naming rights to, and branding on, the new media centre and large conference space in the Hilton Hotel.
Ageas UK chief executive Andy Watson said: “Our business is based on strong, long-term partnerships and we value the bond we have formed with The Ageas Bowl team and everybody at Hampshire Cricket. It is a first-class sporting, conference and entertainment venue that reflects our strong commitment to our local community whilst bringing us the national and international profile to support our growing UK insurance brand.”
Hampshire Cricket chairman Rod Bransgrove said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Ageas for their amazing support over the past 18 months. With their help, we are now in the final stages of transforming the Ageas Bowl into one of the world’s leading Test Match venues. This extension of the Naming Rights Agreement indicates our absolute satisfaction with the partnership and is a fantastic endorsement for the club and this wonderful venue. We are thoroughly looking forward to continuing our successful relationship with Ageas and to the fulfilment of our mutual objectives.”
