Affinitas, the recently established armed forces financial services provider, has launched its suite of insurance products.
The company will provide motor, home and travel insurance, as well as breakdown cover and kit insurance. However, it said it intended to launch other financial products and services in the months ahead.
It said its products were designed to meet the lifestyle requirements of Forces personnel, "such as last-minute holiday cancellations and the lower risk of loss or theft when possessions are located in secure patrolled areas".
Affinitas chief executive Simon Lee said: "The combination of financial services experience and ex-service personnel ensures we have a first-hand understanding of the particular needs of servicemen and women."
Three of Affinitas's board members have extensive military experience. They are: Air Chief Marshal Sir Patrick Hine (vice chairman), General Sir Roger Wheeler (non-executive director) and Rear Admiral Andy Gough (deputy chief executive).
