Insurer promotes four in broker-facing roles
ACE Group has announced a series of appointments in its UK and Ireland region.
London and South East corporate property and casualty underwriting manager Graeme McGeachie has been promoted to London and South East regional manager, corporate.
McGeachie will report to chief operating officer UK and Ireland retail Phil Sharpe, and will replace Jon Houghton, who will be taking up the role of development and distribution manager, UK and Ireland, along with Carolyn Hamilton. Both Houghton and Hamilton will report to Phil Sharpe. Houghton will primarily focus on managing relationships with national brokers in the UK and Ireland and Hamilton will look after ACE’s relationships with key independent brokers and consolidators.
ACE evolve product manager for ACE corporate risks Louise Joyce has been promoted to client relationship manager, UK and Ireland regions. In this newly created role, she will work closely with brokers to ensure consistent delivery of service and develop new client relationships. She will report to head of client relationship management Jeff Carr.
McGeachie has 20 years’ underwriting experience and has been with ACE since 2009. Hamilton joined ACE in 2011 as regional development manager. Houghton joined ACE as regional manager corporate risks, Southern region in 2010. Joyce has 12 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has been with ACE since 2005 and has been evolve product development manager for the past two years.
Sharpe said: “It is extremely satisfying to promote two ACE employees from within our business. Their new roles will create added value for the UK and Ireland region, further improve the service we provide to our broker partners and clients, and help us grow profitably in the future.”
