Norwich-based broker Alan Boswell Group (ABG) has acquired Eversheds' financial planning division.
ABG says the purchase is significant because it gives it a national profile and business throughout the UK.
Managing director Alan Boswell said: "Eversheds Financial Planning's business is a very important addition to our portfolio, particularly as it gives us significant business outside our traditional markets in East Anglia.
"However, just as important for the group is the acquisition of a highly talented team with a wealth of expertise that complements that of our in-house financial services division. We intend to capitalise ont hat combined expertise to grow our financial planning business.
All the employees of the Eversheds division have accepted new posts with ABG.
