AA Insurance has bought its former commercial insurance book back from Aon.
As Insurance Times reported back in January, the AA has launched a commercial insurance portfolio aimed at the SME market in conjunction with AXA.
John Close, general manager of AA Insurance, said: “This is an exciting move that fits perfectly with our fresh approach to the commercial market. It provides a solid platform on which to build our commercial insurance presence.”
The new venture has been named AA Business Insurance.
Robin Phillips, managing director of Aon Affinity, commented: “We have been looking after the AA's commercial book for some years and the trust associated with the brand promotes a high level of loyalty amongst clients. However, that agreement has reached a conclusion but the AA's new arrangement means that these customers will continue to enjoy excellent service.”
