Powerplace’s Chapman joins as company looks to expand commercial offering
1 Answer Network has appointed Carl Chapman to the newly-created position of commercial development and training, as it seeks to expand its commercial offering.
Chapman will specialise in working with the IT company building 1 Answer Network’s commercial lines system and will be responsible for much of its development going forward.
Chapman, who has more than 10 years of insurance experience, joins the team from Powerplace, now part of Towergate, where he held the position of technical consultancy manager and was in charge of project managing system developments.
Prior to that, he was training manager and business consultant for Countrywide & Open Gi.
Managing director Paul Muir said: “We are delighted to welcome Carl on board. While 1 Answer Network is still very focused on personal lines, we are very keen and excited about our plans to strengthen our commercial offering and have very strong growth plans in place.
“Today’s market requires brokers to offer a full solution. We have some very exciting plans in the pipeline, with a view to launching a new and unique product by the last quarter of 2012 that we think will revolutionise how commercial business is written whilst accompanying the efficiencies of personal lines trading.
