Dan Saulter to take up new role from 1 May following four years in financial arm
Towergate Insurance has appointed Dan Saulter as group mergers and acquisitions director, with effect from 1 May.
Saulter has worked at Towergate Financial for the last four years in roles including acquisitions director and chief operating officer. He will remain a non-executive director of Towergate Financial.
Saulter will report to group finance director Scott Egan once Egan has finished working his notice at Brit Insurance.
Last month Towergate acquired its first two brokers of the year.
Following Saulter’s promotion, Towergate Financial chief operating officer Warren Page will be promoted to chief executive, subject to FSA approval.
Towergate Group chief executive Mark Hodges said: “I approached Dan with this opportunity knowing that his skill set and experience make him the ideal candidate to lead Towergate’s ambitious acquisition plans.”
Saulter said: “Towergate has made clear its commitment to buying businesses and to keep adding leading positions within niche and specialist markets to its portfolio.
“I am delighted therefore to be given this opportunity to lead an acquisition team that has significant funds at its disposal and a remit to actively pursue opportunities.”
