Broker also introduces new management teams
Kerry London has completed a far-reaching restructure of its board and senior management team.
The shake-up of the organisational structure will see boss Damian Kissane become chief executive of Kerry London Limited.
He was previously group chief executive and remains on the group board.
Mike Coulbert, managing director, has been promoted to vice chairman reporting to Kerry London owner and chairman Joe Kelliher.
Coulbert has also been made senior broker, a role created to lead specialist teams and reporting to Kissane. He will be supported by board director Mark Cotton, who is executive account director.
Finance director Imogen Coggan has joined the board along with new non-executive director Jane Guyett.
A spokesman said the changes would only impact Kerry London Limited.
Kerry London, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, said in a statement: "Our current organisational structure has served Kerry London well, however, the board now believes it is appropriate to make some changes to our focus and organisation in order to anticipate and respond to challenges of the future."
Management structure
The broker has also put in place a new organisational management structure consisting of two management teams: one aligned with specialist business lines focused externally on clients; the other focussed on internal organisation and service model.
Each specialist business area will be led by "a client-focused senior specialist". The specialist heads will form the core of a new management team reporting to Kissane and Coulbert. It includes:
- Mike Coulbert, construction; David Chard, corporate, commercial & private clients (HNW & personal lines); David Griffiths, sports & leisure; Dean Calaz, property investors; Neon Mavromatis, CARE (Care Homes, Ambulances, Rescue & Emergency); Paul Watson, underwriting & distribution; Jane Venning, professional risks; Andy Ray, surety & bonds; Andrew Lothian, reinsurance; Adam Fox, capital & risk solutions.
The senior management team focusing on internal organisation has resulted in the following appointments:
- Damian Kissane, chief executive, Mike Coulbert, vice chairman, senior broker, MD construction; Neon Mavromatis, managing director, business development; David Chard, managing director, corporate, commercial & private clients; Dean Calaz, promoted to divisional director of business development; Paul Watson, managing director, Kerry London Underwriting and wholesale distribution; Imogen Coggan, finance firector; Lindsey Visconti, head of human resources; Peter Fletcher, compliance manager.
Jane Venning has also become deputy managing director of Kerry London Underwriting and wholesale distribution in addition to the role of managing director, professional risks. As a result the professional risks division has now become part of Kerry London Underwriting and wholesale distribution.
"Kerry London is entering a time of positive transformation and the board is confident that the changes now announced will bring great benefit to our clients, our partners and to our staff," the company said
