Drive Assist chief exec denies misleading insurers
Drive Assist has reimbursed insurers following a KPMG investigation sparked by whistleblower allegations of overcharging.
Chief executive Steve Binch did not disclose how much insurers were repaid nor did he go into details of the report.
Binch has denied allegations of misleading insurers, and said the claims followed a staff member’s “misunderstanding”, which led to a small number of insurers suffering a financial loss. Insurance Times understands that the KPMG report does not make any reference to deliberate overcharging.
