Regulator says ‘a number’ of IT systems currently unavailable
Some of the FCA’s IT systems have been hit by “a major IT incident”.
The regulator said in a statement on its website that a number of its IT systems are currently unavailable due to the incident.
In an update the FCA clarified that the outage has been caused by “a physical hardware incident in a data centre”.
The regulator said: “We are working with our suppliers to restore services as soon as possible. We will publish further information as soon as it is available.”
An FCA spokesman told Insurance Times that the regulator would not be commenting beyond the statement on its site, but would be issuing further updates.
