RSA UK commercial managing director Paul Donaldson is switching roles to become the insurer's new group broker relationship and sales director.
Donaldson will have group-wide responsibility for RSA's relationships with brokers and global sales, reporting to group chief executive Andy Haste.
“I am delighted to welcome Paul to this new role," said Haste.
"His strong broker relationships, understanding of sales and distribution channels and commercial experience means that he is ideally placed to provide a more centralised group focus on our key customer relationships.
“I welcome him to the executive team and look forward to working with him to continue to deliver great results and excellent service to our customers.”
Donaldson will also become chairman of the newly created group risk solutions and specialty board which will oversee RSA’s risk solutions businesses.
He will join RSA's group executive committee and will start the new role in the summer.
Donaldson is being replaced by Jon Hancock who becomes managing director, UK commercial lines.
“Brokers remain at the heart of our business and I’m excited to be working with our global network of brokers to continue strengthening our relationships and delivering on our promise to make it easy to do business with us," said Donaldson.
"I am also looking forward to developing our global Risk Solutions and Specialty franchise and taking it to the next stage.”
