Bluefin to arrange insurance for clubs including Rangers and Celtic
Bluefin has been appointed by the Scottish Premier League (SPL) as its nominated insurance broker.
Bluefin - which incorporates the former SBJ sports division - will arrange the SPL's central programme for member clubs including Celtic, Rangers and Dundee United.
The purchased insurance programme deal also includes the SPL’s own property and liability policies.
Steve McGuinness, managing director of Bluefin sports division said: “We’re honoured to be appointed by the SPL to place their insurance programmes. It’s a complex piece of work we were appointed by drawing on the experience of our well-established team to get the best deal we possibly could.
"They are a prestigious client and we are committed to giving them and their members a superior service.”
Neil Doncaster, chief executive of the SPL added: “SBJ Sports enjoyed an excellent reputation in our industry and we’re pleased to see that expertise now embedded in the Bluefin group.
"The placing of our insurance programme is an important part of our work and we’ve been impressed throughout the presentation process by Bluefin’s understanding of our issues and by their knowledge of the available markets and solutions.”
