The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (Apil) has unveiled Deborah Evans as its new chief executive.
Evans was formerly chief executive of the Legal Complaints Service.
She will start the role on June 6.
“I’m delighted to be joining APIL at a time of significant change in the legal landscape,” she said.
“It represents a fantastic opportunity to make a positive contribution in a climate which will present new challenges to lawyers who are striving to represent the best interests of injured people.”
Apil president, David Bott, added: “I’m very much looking forward to working with Deborah in the challenging times ahead,” he said.
“I know she will be a great asset to Apil as we continue our work to keep injured people at the forefront of any changes to the legal system.”
